SSH Connection Simplified
SSH connection walk-through
This is my first screen record tutorial in the Linux terminal. It will be the first of many, even though it is not quite an entry level subject.
SSH or Secure SHell is a very powerful embedded server bundled with all Linux distros. It is used to gain remote access to the command line so it is very powerful indeed and often used to manage servers remotely. Many professional Linux users will use SSH for file sharing on a local network or over the web to a remote system or server.
SSH is generally considered to be a more secure means of gaining remote access to a server than FTP or the PHPmyadmin database management utility. MySQL commands can be issued within the terminal environment and it is easy to navigate to a MySQL server on a remote system once an SSL connection is made.
I’m planning to make many more videos in similar vein but this will be hosted on my new Linux School YT channel.
